MAC and IP address conflict in a virtual machine

Details

  • Any IP address set in the LAN for this virtual machine complains that there is an IP address conflict for a particular MAC address
  • This MAC address is different from the entry in the .vmx file of the virtual machine
  • The MAC address is actually one of the NICs in the blade center trunk switch
