VMware vCenter Server 4.1.x hangs during MSI installation

Symptoms

VMware vCenter Server 4.1 U1 Windows installation hangs during Apache Tomcat installation.

Purpose

Cause

This issue is caused by Windows Eyes.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must uninstall Windows Eyes.
