Script error when downloading objects with file type .tar.gz

Symptoms

  • When attempting to download an object with the file type .tar.gz, you see script errors.
  • All other attached objects are successfully downloaded.

Cause

The .tar.gz file type has a gzip header so the controls automatically attempt to unzip the attachment.

Resolution

This is a known issue and the current workaround is to manually download and execute the file. This issue is scheduled to be resolved in VMware Service Manager V9.1 RP01
