Summaries and Symptoms
This bulletin includes all software updates required to install VMware ESXi 4.0 Update 2 on a host. A host will not be considered running Update 2 until it is compliant with this bulletin. For more information,see the KBs for the individual bulletins.
Deployment Considerations
If you are running ESXi with Cisco Nexus 1000V product, then you will need to install the corresponding VEM Patch Release along with this patch. See KB 1021571 for more information.
Patch Download and Installation
ESXi hosts can be updated by downloading the patch zip file from http://support.vmware.com/selfsupport/download/ and using the vihostupdate command through the vSphere CLI. For details, see the vSphere CLI Installation and Reference Guide and the vSphere Upgrade Guide
